The public build follows the route you remember: Pallet Town, Route 1, Viridian City, Route 22, Route 2, Viridian Forest, and Pewter City. The map is built larger than the handheld original, with room to wander, fish, and watch the day clock roll into night.

Weather moves across the roads. Rain darkens the path and leaves puddles; storms throw lightning; the ground dries when the clouds pass. Lakes reflect the sky. Your Pokémon can follow you in the overworld while you fill a Pokédex and raise a team toward evolution.
